About SERVPRO
SERVPRO ® is a national franchise system of independently owned and
operated businesses. Our three franchises offer a wide range of services
across a large geographical area. We are widely known and used by
insurance companies throughout our territories (northern Rhode Island,
North and South Attleboro and Southern Worcester County) for residential
and commercial customers.
Don McKendall, franchise president, was in the construction supply business for more than 30 years. His family operated McKendall Lumber in Providence, Rhode Island, from 1920 up until the late 1990s. He was an active member in the Rhode Island Lumber Dealers Association and served as president in 1990 (during the RI Credit Union crisis that put tremendous financial burden on all its members). Under Don’s leadership, The Lumber Dealers Association was one of the groups that lobbied and helped change the Rhode Island workers compensation law. Don also filled the role of chairperson of the Legislative Committee and was chairperson for the annual contractor trade show that he started in 1992. During Don’s tenure, the association became more focused on its goals and saw membership growth.
Don’s construction background and leadership abilities make him a natural for creating the premier customer service company in the disaster restoration industry.
Tina McKendall is the vice president of the three franchises. Tina comes to the table with a lot of experience. Tina, who also is a registered nurse, brings many years of managerial experience in the medical field to the business. In addition, her knowledge of health hazards in invaluable in the training of the franchise staff. This is especially important when dealing with mold and its effects of human health.
